Mike and Holly Gardner were raised on Texas ranches. Mike’s family was in the livestock business full time for over 30 years and Holly is a seventh generation Texan, whose family operates and manages a family ranching business started in the mid-1800’s. San Miguel was founded a decade ago when Mike and Holly agreed that the people, landscapes and wildlife were in their blood. Today, San Miguel Outdoors is one of the largest, most respected hunting, fishing and outdoor adventure companies in North America. Mike is president and Holly is vice president of the company. They live in Austin, Texas with their two sons, Hudson and Cullen. Together, the Gardner’s true sense of fulfillment now lies in helping clients reach their own personal sporting goals.

Russell Selle

Senior Big Game Hunting Consultant

Russell has 30 years of worldwide big game hunting experience, which has allowed him to hunt 24 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the South Pacific. Prior to joining the San Miguel team 2 years ago, Russell worked 13 years for Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures as a senior big game hunting consultant. Russell’s 22 years of experience as a professional big game hunting consultant is unparalleled and make him an invaluable resource for San Miguel Outdoors clients.

Olivia Nalos Angelloz

Hunting Consultant

When you book a hunt with San Miguel Outdoors, “Livy” becomes your personal point person for every imaginable detail ­ firearm permits, tags, scheduling, health requirements ­ everything. Olivia is one of the most experienced female hunters in the industry. She has hunted in Canada, Mexico, numerous states in the lower 48 and made a dozen trips to Africa and the South Pacific. Olivia is a certified master measurer for SCI and a measurer for Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young and Rowland Ward.

Charlie Ammann

Hunting Consultant

Charlie grew up in a Texas ranching family where he spent his early years working on 33,000 acres of their south Texas brush country ranches. Not surprisingly, his passion for hunting runs just as deep as his love of ranches, and after graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Charlie joined San Miguel where he works as a hunting consultant and a professional hunting guide.

Collin Meek

Director of Marketing

As director of marketing, Collin oversees the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the company. Before joining San Miguel, he was employed by Cabela’s as marketing & brand services manager. Previously, he was creative director for a top Denver advertising agency where he garnered many national advertising awards. Collin grew up hunting the midwest and now enjoys bowhunting adventures with his wife, Jackie.

Maranda Creamer

Executive Coordinator

Maranda oversees daily office operations and manages all the San Miguel Outdoors client plans and itineraries. She also provides administrative support to the entire San Miguel team. Maranda joined San Miguel shortly after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University with a degree in Mass Communication. Her ability to calmly and carefully assess any situation makes her an invaluable asset to the company.

David Gardner

Director of Strategic Planning

As director of strategic planning, David has a particular concentration on the general business direction of the company. He views the sporting business as an immerging industry and predicts a solid future as new markets emerge and an elevated level of professionalism continues to come into the industry. Prior to joining San Miguel, David was for many years, the owner of one of the largest horse ranches in the country.

Holly Stewart

Holly performs all day-to-day accounting activities for San Miguel. She is a Native Texan who grew up on her family’s ranch. She has a BBA from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Holly’s professional experience includes auditing, tax preparation and accounting. Prior to joining San Miguel, she worked for the State of Texas and a private consulting business.

Halley Thomas

Ranch Coordinator

Halley manages all the San Miguel Ranch & Lodge client itineraries and provides administrative support to the San Miguel team. Halley has a masters degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining San Miguel, she lived in Spain as an exchange student, worked in the Parliament building and traveled throughout Australia and New Zealand, and worked at BBC Worldwide in London, England.

Bret Ferguson

Ranch & Hunting Operations Manager

Bret has a lifetime of ranching and hunting experience. He was born in Texas and raised in the cattle and horse ranching business. Bret came to San Miguel over 10 years ago as a hunting guide. Today, he manages all San Miguel Ranch hunting operations, including 30,000 acres and more than 20 hunting guides. His knowledge of Texas wildlife is unsurpassed. Bret loves the outdoors and lives it daily.

Bruce Hamilton

Bruce’s experience in the hospitality industry is unparalleled. With over 20 years experience and having owned and operated a world-class luxury lodge in Northern Maine, he brings to San Miguel Lodge the knowledge and experience needed to meet the demands of even the most discerning sportsmen. Bruce enjoys the outdoors, he is an avid sportsman and has a passion for bowhunting.

Adam Smith

Field Manager

Adam grew up hunting the famed ranches of deep south Texas. In addition to his experience in guiding whitetail and exotics, his knowledge of construction and ranch improvements have played a key role in the development of the new San Miguel Ranch. Adam’s love for hunting and knowledge of ranches make him a great asset to the San Miguel team.

Jesse Howard

Field Manager

Jesse joined the San Miguel team in 2004 after graduating from Texas State University with a bachelors degree in wildlife biology. He has guided over 150 successful hunts for whitetail and exotics including axis, fallow, gemsbok, and many more. He prides himself on putting San Miguel clients on trophy game. Jesse is always willing to tell a good hunting story around the campfire.

Ryan Farmer

Field Manager

Born and raised in Dallas, Ryan grew up hunting and fishing throughout Texas. He credits his grandfather for his love of wingshooting, who introduced him to duck hunting the flooded timber of their family ranch in Arkansas. Ryan attended Auburn University where he studied horticulture before returning to Texas to pursue a career in the hunting and ranch real estate industries. Ryan’s in-depth knowledge of wildlife makes him an expert hunting guide.
